MATCH PREVIEW
Olympic FC come up against Eastern Suburbs in their first ever Kappa Women’s Super Cup clash at Goodwin Park on Tuesday night (7:30pm KO).
Olympic come into Tuesday’s match on a strong run of form, winning three of their last four matches in the league and scoring 13 goals in the process.
Just two points separate the sides on the NPL Women’s Queensland ladder – Easts sit ninth while Olympic are eleventh in a congested league table after eight rounds of action.
Tuesday’s game is the first of two meetings between the sides this week, with the teams set to do battle in the league at Heath Park on Saturday night (5:15pm KO).
The winner of Tuesday’s match will host Capalaba FC in the Round of 16.
WHAT WAS SAID
Liz Doherty – Midfielder
“Easts is always a massive game for us, a little bit of a rival.
“We always have massive clashes when we come up against them in the NPL, so very excited for a knockout game with them.
“I think we’ve got a lot of momentum at the moment, so we can hopefully keep that going in the cup game.”
