Olympic Football Club are pleased to confirm Jack Glover has returned to the club ahead of the 2021 NPL Queensland season.
The 21-year-old has proven himself to be one of the league’s top defenders and was a crucial part of the back four in an Olympic side that qualified for the FFA Cup Round of 16 and NPL Queensland Grand Final in 2019.
Glover has made 58 appearances and scored 6 times for Olympic, including two goals in his final two matches before taking a post-COVID break from football at the back end of the 2020 season.
The towering defender, who arrived at Olympic from the now defunct FNQ Heat in 2018 said he couldn’t wait to get back into the swing of things at Goodwin Park.
“The culture of the club, the calibre of the coaching staff and comradery shared amongst the team members is second to none and I consider it a real privilege to re-sign for the 2021 season,” Glover said.
“It is definitely time for this club to bring back silverware and I am keen to play my part and contribute to the great football this team can play.”
Pre-season has commenced for Glover and his teammates ahead of what will be his fourth season at Olympic.
Stay tuned as we continue to reveal our squad for the season ahead over the coming days.
