Zac Kierpal makes Olympic move

Olympic Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of exciting young attacker, Zac Kierpal ahead of the 2022 NPL Queensland season.

The 19-year-old arrives at Goodwin Park after scoring 16 goals NPL Queensland goals in a break out 2021 season at Moreton Bay.

After scoring countless goals at youth level Kierpal broke into the Jets first team at the back end of 2020 aged 17,  scoring his first senior goal against Olympic at Goodwin Park before adding two more to his tally against Gold Coast Knights the following week.

Blessed with lightning pace, strong physique and a clinical eye for goal, Kierpal has quickly established himself as one of the competition’s leading marksmen.

The forwards impressive form in 2021 earned him selection in the NPL All Stars side that defeated Brisbane Roar 3-2 at Perry Park in November.

Kierpal, who attracted interest from clubs around the country and even an A-League trial with Brisbane Roar said he couldn’t wait to get started at Olympic.

“I decided to join Olympic as I am looking to develop as a player and go to the next level,” Kierpal said.

“I felt that Olympic was the right place to do this and after talking to Ben Cahn and Richard Greer it was a no brainer.

“Along with a great coaching staff, there’s an abundance of class and experience in the squad.

“After some good on-field battles last season it’ll be great to be part of this side, I’m looking forward to learning and developing with this group.”

Kierpal who will wear the number nine jersey for Olympic added he is hungry for success at Goodwin Park.

“For the season ahead, myself and all the boys want to win it all, I’ve come to this club to help them win the league and be the top goal scorer in the league.

“I am also excited to have a good crack at the FFA Cup this season and want to make it far in the competition.

“On a personal level I’m looking to develop into a better player and take my game to the next level.”

Kierpal trained with his new team mates for the first time last week as pre-season training commenced ahead of the 2022 NPL Queensland season.
