Redlands United – 2 (Lee-Navu FAUNT 13’, Maximilian ELLENGER 80’)
Olympic FC – 3 (Jayden DEE 43’, Roshan NEUPANE 64’, Taj HUDSON 83’)

The Olympic U23’s came away with a 3-2 victory against Redlands at Compass Grounds to maintain third position in the league on Saturday evening.

The home side took an early lead through Lee-Navu Faunt but Jayden Dee rifled home a strike in from the top of the box to on the stroke of half time to send the sides in level at the break.

Olympic went ahead in the 64th minute courtesy of a brilliant Roshan Neupane free kick that dipped over the wall and went in the via the post.

Redlands drew level through Maximilian Ellenger but a superb individual run and poked finish from Taj Hudson saw Olympic claim all three points in a five-goal thriller.

Next up for the U23’s is a clash against Gold Coast United at Coplicks on Sunday, June 27.

U23 Women
Olympic FC – 2 (Eftie AVRAAM, Tessa BUZZO)
Mitchelton – 1 (Charlotte ANDREW 78’)

Olympic’s U23 Women won their second game on the bounce with a 2-1 victory over Mitchelton at Goodwin Park on Sunday afternoon.

Two players who have earned first team minutes this season – Eftie Avraam & Tessa Buzzo got their names on the scoresheet while Charlotte Andrew was on target for the visitors.

Sunday’s win sees Olympic leapfrog Mitchelton into ninth position ahead of their next clash against the Gap on Saturday, June 26.

U16
Sunshine Coast FC – 2 (Brandon MCRORIE 23’, Brandon VANEGAS-MUNOZ 71’)
Olympic FC – 1 (OWN GOAL 54’)

Olympic’s U16s suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sunshine Coast Fire in their opening game of the Shield Phase at Caloundra on Sunday.

Despite Olympic starting strongly and enjoying a sustained early period of possession and attacking play it was the home side who struck first through, Brandon McRorie in the 21st minute.

Olympic finally made their attacking pressure pay in the 54th minute when Fire defender, Lachlan Harrison turned a scrambled clearance into his own net to level the scores.

However, it was the home side who would have the last laugh with Brandon Vanegas-Munoz pouncing on a loose clearance from a corner to seal all three points for Fire.

 

U15
Sunshine Coast FC – 2 (Jett GREEN 38’, Angus LLOYD 80’)
Olympic FC – 0

Olympic’s U15 side were handed a 2-0 defeat by Sunshine Coast Fire in their Shield Phase opener at Caloundra on Sunday morning.

Jett Green and Angus Lloyd scored for the hosts against an Olympic side who finished with ten men after Johnnie Zervos was shown a red card in the 70th minute.

Next up the 15’s will look to make it two wins from two against SWQ Thunder this season when they head to Toowoomba on Sunday afternoon.

U14
Sunshine Coast FC – 1 (Cooper RENZULLI 50’)
Olympic FC – 1 (Hyeon Jin KIM 30’)

For the first time this season the Olympic U14’s were denied all three points, playing out 1-1 draw against Sunshine Coast in their Shield Group opener at Caloundra on Sunday morning.

Hyeon Jin Kim opened the scoring for Olympic but a Cooper Renzulli equaliser early in the second half was enough for Sunshine Coast to snatch a point.

 

U13
Sunshine Coast FC – 3 (Max VEIVERS 22’ 46’, Hudson RUISCH 34’)
Olympic FC – 2 (Curtis DAY 4’, Byron DAY 36’)

Olympic’s U13s went down 3-2 in the Shield group opener against Sunshine Coast at Caloundra on Sunday.

Despite finding the back of the net twice through Curtis & Byron Day it was the home side who came away with all three points.

Next up for Olympic’s NPL juniors is are clashes against SWQ Thunder at Clive Berghofer Stadium on Sunday.
