Our club has lost a great supporter this week. Former player, sponsor and committee member, Billy Mylonas, on Tuesday, March 16.

 

Billy was a rarity – playing his junior football at Olympic, rising through various teams until he was selected to play in our senior team in 1983. He was a tough, no-nonsense fullback who wore his heart on his sleeve. His career highlight was being a member of our 1983 grand final winning team which defeated Lions 3-2 at Perry Park.

 

In more recent years, Billy returned to the club recently as a sponsor and valuable member of our committee. He volunteered his services in whatever capacity to help the club grow and become a successful club in Queensland football. His jovial spirit and gentle nature made him popular with players and parents. He was a larrikin who will be sorely missed by our club. We send Billy’s family our deepest condolences. May he Rest In Peace.
