Olympic FC are excited to confirm the addition of attacking midfielder, Lua Suero ahead of the 2022 NPL Queensland Women’s season.
The 19-year-old returns for a second stint at Olympic, having previously made her senior debut for the club aged just 14 in 2017.
Between spells at Olympic, Suero plied her trade at Gold Coast United, Brisbane Roar NTC, Logan Lightning and most recently Souths United.
The Queensland junior representative also spent time in the UK playing and training with Manchester United’s U23 side.
Suero, who scored three goals across the previous two seasons said she couldn’t wait to get going in red and white.
“I decided to sign for Olympic because of the great team culture and professional environment that the club stands for,” Suero said.
“Having played there as a junior, I’ve always wanted to return as I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and created some great footballing memories.
“Danny (Byrne) is also a fantastic coach and I’m really excited to work with him this season.
“As a team I want us to have a solid season and perform week in week out.
“Personally, I want to keep growing as a footballer and learn as much as I can to keep improving. I’m excited for the challenge and season ahead.”
Suero joins Brittney Lacek as the second confirmed new signing to join Danny Byrne’s squad ahead of the 2022 season.
