Royce Brownlie joins as Senior Men's head coach

Olympic FC wish to confirm that Royce Brownlie has been appointed as our new Head Coach for the 2023 season.

Royce Brownlie’s credentials stem from his selection in the QAS as a teenager and then as a player in the National Soccer League where he broke the record for the most consecutive goals with 8 goals in 4 games.

Locally, he played for Moreton Bay United, Brisbane City, Brisbane Lions, and Peninsula Power, winning the League with all four clubs.

As a powerful centre-forward, his skills on the field saw him awarded the Golden Boot three times during his seasons at Moreton Bay United, Lions and Peninsula Power.

Royce’s professional football career spanned nationally with selection for A-League teams Queensland Roar and Wellington Phoenix, as well as Parramatta Power, Brisbane Strikers and Sydney’s Marconi Stallions. Furthermore, Royce he has played internationally with Swindon Town and was an integral member of this Premiership-winning League team.

His dedication to football has extended into coaching where he holds the principles of player development at the core of best practice. Starting his coaching career as Assistant Coach at Peninsula Power, he transitioned to North Star (2 years) and then to Logan Lightning (2 years).

Most recently, over the past three years, Royce was heralded as Head Football Coach for Moreton Bay United.
