Olympic Football Club are delighted to confirm Costa Psaros has re-signed with the Club for the 2021 NPL Queensland season.
The 24-year-old winger has made 125 appearances for Olympic, scoring 25 goals and providing a further 30 assists.
With 111 of those appearances coming in the NPL Queensland only Kazuya Ito, Matt Mundy and Danny Byrne have made more appearances in the league for Olympic than Psaros.
Psaros has made a habit of stepping up on the big occasion, scoring a number of crucial goals in recent years including the 2019 FFA Cup Round of 16 against Adelaide United, the winner in last year’s Semi Final against Gold Coast Knights as well as several memorable strikes in derby wins against Brisbane City.
The Olympic junior said it was a no-brainer to re-sign for what will be his seventh season as part of the first team set up.
“The group and environment that we have developed at Olympic over the past couple of years and the style of football we played last season made it a simple decision for me to re-sign for 2021,” Psaros said.
“I’ve got a close bond with many great people at this club which is motivation to continue to work hard and bring success to the club in 2021.
“This club deserves some silverware and success so collectively we will be doing everything we can do get that.”
Pre-season has commenced for Psaros and his teammates ahead of the 2021 NPL Queensland season.
Stay tuned as we reveal our playing squad for the season ahead over the coming days.
