Olympic FC forward, Tasuku Sekiya says his side are raring to go ahead of Sunday’s clash against Gold Coast Knights at Goodwin Park (6pm KO).
Olympic will look to maintain their position atop the league table as the two NPL Queensland heavyweights go head-to-head.
Olympic come into Sunday’s clash off the back of a seven match unbeaten run, coinciding with Sekiya’s arrival at the Club.
The Japanese attacker, who’s scored twice and contributed a further five assists says his side can’t wait to go into battle with fourth placed Knights.
“Everyone knows it’s a big game, probably one of the biggest of the season for the team. They are a good side so we have to give everything we’ve got in order to get the result,” Sekiya said.
“We haven’t lost in seven games now, we kept the run going with the last minute winner against Easts in our last match everyone is pumped up, everyone is hungry to keep the run going in another big game this week.
“I’m expecting them to be hard working and push us all the way, I watched some highlights and heard from the team about the way they play.
“We’re ready for a tough game, but we’re at home on a good pitch, we have no excuse and when we give 100% and play the way we know we can, we can beat anyone.”
He's wasted no time making an impact, with 2️⃣ goals & 5️⃣ assists to his name so far in red and white!

The former Avondale and APIA Leichhardt attacker who has now been at Olympic a little over two months says he’s thoroughly enjoying his time in red and white.
“The club’s been really good I’ve felt really welcomed by everyone, the boys have been really good, we’re all very hungry to win something,” Sekiya said.
“I wasn’t surprised by the standard when I arrived, I knew of Olympic before I came here, I knew that they were a top side, the attitude and ability of the group have been really good.”
