Olympic lock in Lasm for 2021 season

Olympic Football Club are delighted to confirm Jean-Philippe Lasm has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2021 NPL Queensland season.

The 30-year-old defensive midfielder, who has made 73 appearances in red and white signs on a fourth season at Goodwin Park.

Lasm, who has developed a reputation as one of the league’s best holding midfielders for his tough tackling and ability to screen the backline has been an integral part of the club’s success in recent seasons.

The midfielders impact hasn’t gone unnoticed by his peers with Lasm crowned as Olympic’s Players Player for the 2020 season, he was also awarded Coaches Player in 2019.

The former Sufers Paradise Apollo midfielder said he couldn’t wait to get stuck in for the season ahead.

“I’m excited to be at Olympic for another year, the club, the coaching staff, the supporters make it all worth it to be back in red and white this season,” Lasm said.

“As a team, we’re aiming to bring some well-deserved silverware back to the club as well as hoping to go further in the FFA Cup.

“Individually, my main aim is to help the team the best way I can and most importantly to enjoy myself.”

Lasm is Olympic’s fifteenth confirmed signing ahead of the 2021 NPL Queensland season with preparations in full swing for Ben Cahn’s squad ahead the competition kick off in early March.
