Olympic FC Debut 2019 NAIDOC Week Jerseys

Olympic FC debuted their 2019 NAIDOC Week Jerseys on Sunday in their NPL Queensland matchup with Gold Coast United.

Designed by the club’s Community Outreach Officer, Phil Canham, the jerseys employ a number of motifs paying homage to aspects of local Indigenous culture.

The front of the jersey features Maiwar (the Brisbane River), a dominant and unifying feature in the lives of the area’s local residents over the past thousands of the years.

It also pays respect to the Jagera and Turrbal people’s connection to country through the depiction of three totems; the carpet snake, the goanna, and the frog.

Olympic will also wear their NAIDOC kit away against Moreton Bay United this Saturday at Wolter Park.
