Olympic Football Club are pleased to welcome Tony Papapavlou as the club’s youth & senior Community Director.
Papapavlou, who arrives at Olympic with over 40 years coaching and playing experience in Brisbane, Adelaide & Darwin will oversee the club’s BYPL, Divisional & City League teams.
Papapavlou will work with the clubs community players and coaches to ensure they get the most out of their football experience at Olympic.
The incoming Community Director, who previously coached at Olympic in 2011 and for a number of seasons at Villanova College said he couldn’t wait to get started at Goodwin Park.
“My childhood club has always been Olympiacos, so i’m very passionate about the red and white,” Papapavlou said.
“It’s a club with a great history, having been around since 1967 and i’m excited to be apart of it.”
Papapavlou will also work closely with Olympic FC Technical Director Joel Smith to help strengthen the pathway between the clubs BYPL & NPL programs.
“Football has been pretty much my whole life, I played until I was 45 in various competitions, I love working with the kids and seeing them develop and getting the best out of them,” Papapavlou said.
“I want to connect everyone and put some love into the clubs community football, get people excited to play football and loving the game, bringing in coaches and helping them with their licence.”
