Olympic remain at the top of the FQPL Women’s table thanks to a 2-0 win over Mitchelton FC at Teralba Park on Saturday night.
A first half Allira Toby double proved the difference as Olympic kept themselves in pole position in the race for promotion.
Toby opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finding the bottom left corner with her strike from the edge of the area.
Toby then doubled Olympic’s lead moments before half-time, beating her marker from the right side of the box and firing a strike in off the underside of the crossbar to take her tally to nine goals for the 2021 season.
Neither side was able to add to the scoring in the second half with Olympic maintaining their undefeated record in the FQPL while also holding firm for their fifth clean sheet in six matches, having conceded just once in 540 minutes of football.
Olympic move up to 41 points at the top of the table, three points clear of second placed, Brisbane City on 38 points.
