Olympic secured a fourth consecutive season of finals football with a 2-0 win over Brisbane Strikers at Perry Park on Sunday evening.

A Shannon Brady brace proved decisive as Olympic locked in a third placed finish and booked their place in the semi-final against second placed, Young Roar who finished above Olympic on goal difference.

Olympic opened the scoring in the fourth minute when Brady broke away from the Strikers defence and turned the ball into the bottom corner on the end of a superb Daniel Leck through ball.

Brady rounded out the 2-0 score line the 55th minute, beating the Mudaliar with a powerful strike from at the near post after being played in by Lachlan Sayers.

Brady’s sixth goal in as many games took his tally to 14 for the 2021 NPL Queensland season, only Daniel Leck (17) has scored more goals for Olympic this year.

At the other end Olympic held firm for a league high 14th clean sheet of the season.

Olympic also conceded the least goals of any side this season (19) and lost the least amount of games of any side this season (3).
