LAST TIME WE MET
Olympic and Lions played out a thrilling 3-3 draw when they met in the reverse fixture at Lions Stadium in May.
Lions lead 2-0 at the break courtesy of goals from Ethan Docherty and Jordan Farina but Olympic fought their way back into the contest levelling the scores with Jez Lofthouse and Daniel Leck finding the back of the net.
Lions regained their lead through a stunning Max Mikkola strike in the 85th minute and looked to have secured all three points but not to be outdone Olympic again equalised in stoppage time thanks to an outrageous Daniel Leck volley.
WHAT WAS SAID – Ben Cahn: Head Coach
“After the Redlands draw we knew we’d likely need to win four from four.
“Last week was a great start and now we‘re ready to go again.
“We know how important the game is for both teams, I’m sure it’ll be another intense Olympic-Lions game, but we’ve prepared well and we’re confident we can get it done with the help of a big Goodwin Park crowd.
“The boys have been superb this week, it’s been a difficult year but they’re hungry to get in the four and ready to put in a big performance on Sunday.”
