PREVIEW

Olympic make the trip to Max Haynes Field to face Capalaba FC in NPL Queensland action on Friday night (8:30pm KO).

Olympic will look to continue their perfect league record against the Bulldogs on Friday, having won in each of their three previous NPL Queensland encounters, scoring 11 goals and conceding none in the process.

Olympic, who are unbeaten in their last thirteen league matches, currently sit fifth in a tightly contested top half of the NPL Queensland standings.

Capalaba are eleventh with 20 points to their name after 19 rounds of action. The Bulldogs have made the Kennel a tricky away day for visiting sides, taking three points off the likes of Gold Coast Knights and Lions at Max Haynes Field this season.

Olympic returned to NPL Queensland action last weekend with a 2-1 win over Gold Coast Knights while Capalaba suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Gold Coast United.

LAST TIME WE MET

Olympic ran out 4-0 winners over Capalaba in the reverse fixture at Goodwin Park in May.

Shannon Brady scored a brace while Daniel Leck & Jez Lofthouse also got on the scoresheet in comprehensive victory over the Bulldogs.

WHAT WAS SAID – Head Coach: Ben Cahn

“It’s been a difficult time but I’m very proud of how everyone’s come together, looked after each other and looked after those most in need.

“A lot of people have stepped up and shown an amazing sense of humanity and kindness.

“It’s been tough, but we’re all ready to go and put in a big performance, enjoy playing together, in a way that brings excitement to those on the pitch and those off it and ultimately fight for another 3 points.”
