Olympic Football Club are pleased to confirm Danny Driver has re-signed with the club ahead of the 2021 NPL Queensland season.

The 22-year-old defender, who has made 49 appearances in red and white signs on for a third season at Goodwin Park.

One of the NPL Queensland’s most underrated players, Driver excelled in 2020 following a post-COVID positional change from midfield to the centre of defence.

The former Brisbane Roar National Youth League Captain said he’s incredibly hungry for success with Olympic in 2021.

“Staying at Olympic was an easy decision, the backing and support we get from everyone at the club is something you can’t get elsewhere,” Driver said.

“The community, family feel is what drives us to deliver success to this great club.

“The coaching that’s on offer is second to none, Ben (Cahn) has built another special group and I’m looking forward to what the 2021 season has in store.

“The biggest goal for us this season is to win a trophy, we must continue to build on what we’ve done in the last few years.

“Every action we do in training and each and every game starting from the first session of pre-season is in preparation for that.

“We know what this club deserves and we and we now must go out and prove that and make 2021 our year.”

Driver and his team mates are already hard at work on the training pitch ahead of the 2021 NPL Queensland season kick off in March.

Stay tuned as we continue to unveil our squad for the season ahead over the coming days.
