Olympic Football Club are pleased to confirm James and Brandon Cuminao have signed on for the 2021 NPL Queensland season.
James signs on for an eighth consecutive season at Goodwin Park, the 25-year-old defender has made 126 appearances in red and white, scoring five times.
With 111 of those appearances coming in the NPL Queensland, James sits equal fourth with Costa Psaros in the club’s competition appearance charts.
“Re-signing again was an easy choice, the quality that the players and coaches bring are next level and i’ve personally come a long way with Olympic,” James said.
“I have experienced many ups and downs here and overall have really enjoyed being a part of and watching it develop into the successful club it is today. Silverware is our top priority this year.”
Brandon returns to Olympic for third stint at Goodwin Park after spending 2020 with Bulleen Lions prior to COVID enforced NPL Victoria shutdown.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has made 57 appearances for Olympic, keeping 18 clean sheets in the process.
Brandon was Olympic’s number one keeper in a side that made the NPL Queensland Grand Final and FFA Cup Round of 16 in 2019, he also played in the 2014 FFA Cup Round of 32 win over Melbourne Knights.
“I decided to return due to COVID after playing in Melbourne, to continue my work with Ben and having spent four good years here it was a no brainer to come back and fight for a position here,” Brandon said.
“My ambitions are to compete with Choco (Hunter) for the number one spot and to also work with him and lads to achieve silverware for this season.”
