Olympic Football Club has bolstered it’s attacking stocks with the signing of Eftie Avraam ahead of the 2021 NPLW Queensland season.

The 19-year-old forward earns a first team contract after shining for the club’s Capital League One Champions this season.

Avraam scored 11 goals in 16 appearances as Olympic marked their first season back in senior women’s football with a title.

Avraam, who has only ever played her football at Olympic joins Liz Doherty as the second player promoted from the club’s Capital League One side to the NPLW squad.

The forward who made a handful of appearances last time Olympic competed in the NPLW said she couldn’t wait to be wearing red and white in the state’s top tier once again.

“I want to further my playing ability in the most professional environment I can surround myself in, I also want to continue to play the sport I love at my home club,” Avraam said.

“My aim for the season is to make it through injury free first of all and other than that I want to become the best player I can and get as many minutes under my belt in my first season back in the NPL since 2017.”

Olympic will begin their pre-season in early January ahead of the expected NPLW kick off in March.
